OHARA
Ohara is located in the northern mountains of Kyoto. It is in a rural area where the original landscape remains and people have moved to live in pursuit of peace of mind . Sit silently while viewing the calm and serene gardens of Sanzen-in and Hosen-in temples, and you will be able to get away from the hustle and bustle of a city.
UJI
Uji Byodoin temple, together with its garden represents the Pure Land paradise built about 1,000 years ago. Uji is also the home of Japanese tea. You can savor a cup of tea in a relaxed manner. In spring 2,000 cherry trees lining both sides of the Uji river are in full bloom.
SAGANO
Otagi Nenbutsuji is a temple on the outskirts of Arashiyama with 1,200 unique statues. You can stroll through an old narrow alley lined with thatched roof houses and thick earthen walled storehouses. This street is a relaxing escape from the typical tourist crowds.
